In this Article, you learn all about draft survey templates.
How to check whether your survey is a draft or not:
From the home screen, you’d want to make your way to the survey drop-down menu and then click on the templates option.
Once you’re at the Templates page you’ll be presented with all the templates that you’ve created.
The last two columns on the right (‘Status’ and ‘Action’) are the ones we’re going to be looking at today.
The ‘status’ column can range between three states, ‘Draft’, ‘Published’, and ‘Archived’.
- Archived is when the survey is Hidden/ no longer in use on devices and can’t be edited anymore. You will only be able to edit this template again once you’ve cloned it, which will create a replica of the template, but it will be in a draft state again where you’ll be able to make changes to it until you publish it.
-Published will be when your template has been sent out to your device where you’ll be able to start filling them out (you’ll only be able to make limited changes to the survey once it has been published).
-When the survey is ‘Draft’ you’ll be able to edit the template however you want, as many times as you want.**
When the template is in ‘draft’ you’ll be able to test it on the mobile app before you publish it to other users. Below are the instructions on how to test your survey as you’re building it.
If you want to check how your template is looking without publishing it, all you’ll need to do is, log on to the Mobiess mobile app and go to the Sync button in the top right of the screen. It’ll take a minute for everything to sync completely but once it has, you’ll want to click on ‘Start New Audit’.
This will bring you to the page below hopefully, the screen will display all your draft and published templates, and you should be able to find them and test them out.
This is our draft template below as you can see there isn’t much there but if we return to the Mobiess website make changes there and then repeat the previous couple steps of syncing the Mobiess app waiting for the sync, then clicking on ‘start new Audit’ you will just have to find you template which should now present your changes.
